Adding Dynamic Sub-brands

Some brands have sub-brands (Artistry and Amway Home for example).

When uploading assets, if Artistry is selected, the sub-brand drop down will fill in with Artistry specific sub-brands only. This keeps the sub-brand drop down from getting cluttered with all of the sub-brands and prevents the wrong sub-brand from being tagged.

Please note: if you are bulk editing multiple branded assets that contain sub-brands, you must remove the sub-brands in your metadata first. Otherwise, the sub-brand will be assigned to a brand that does not contain sub-brands. You will not be able to easily fix them because the drop down will be blank on the individual edit metadata form since the brand is not originally linked to sub-brands.

Follow these steps

 1.  Go to Classic View.
2. Select TOOLS.

This is the button with the gears on it in the top green header bar.

3. Choose the BrandNext–>configuration–>advancedsearch in the folder structure

This is in the left nav bar.

4. Double click the brand config.

A new tab for Advanced Search Brand/Sub-Brand Configuration will open. Look for the edit buttons on the page.

5. Click EDIT under the Brand that you want to add a sub-brand to.

A pop up will come up listing the existing sub-brands (if any)

6. Start typing the sub-brand name.

A list of sub-brand tags will appear automatically.

7. Click ok

Confirm the sub-brands were added by going back into Touch View, then Advanced Search, select the Brand tag under the list of tags, then go to the Sub-Brand drop down at the bottom. The new sub-brands are listed. These will also show in Apply and Edit metadata screens.
