Approving Assets

Assets will require CLC approval. The CLC will get a notification.

If there is a CLC group assigned to a folder, the notification will have an “Assign To Me” button. Once a CLC clicks on the Assign To Me button, the notification is removed from the other CLCs’ notification inbox. This is so two or more CLCs are not approving the same assets at the same time.

 Follow these steps

1. Click the assign to me button.

When the CLC clicks on the Assign to Me button, the CLC will receive a pop up saying “This item has been assigned to you”.

The CLC may wish to view the assets before clicking the Assign To Me button. In order to do so, click on the Assets Uploaded link next to the Assign To Me button. The Assign To Me button will appear in the Apply Metadata screen with the assets. This button can now be clicked here as well.

2. Click on the workflow item.
A CLC can respond in three ways when reviewing assets:

  1. Asset and Metadata are Approved
    • The uploader will receive an approval email notification
    • Asset now appears in BrandNext search
  2. Asset is Not Approved (either the asset itself or there isn’t sufficient documentation regarding the copyright of the asset [for instance, the contracts are not available])
    • The Uploader receives a disapproval email notification
    • The Uploader may then update the asset and re-submit it for approval
    • If so, the Asset re-enters the approval workflow.
  3. Metadata is Not Approved
    • The Uploader receives disapproval email notification.
    • The Uploader may update the metadata and re-submit it for approval.
    • If so, the Asset re-enters the approval workflow.
