Unarchiving an Asset

If by chance you archived an asset by accident, dont worry, we can bring it back.CRXDE Lite.
You can do this in

Follow these steps

 

1. Click on “content–>dam_archive in the left navigation.
2. Choose the region/market where the asset is currently archived.
3. Drill down further through the folder structure to find the asset.

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Right click on the asset.
5. Click Move.

 

6. Click the Magnifying glass to drill down to the folder that the asset needs to be moved to in the “live” section of BrandNext.

7. Click on content→dam →region.
8.  Choose the folder where this asset needs to be moved to.

9. Click ok.

The move node will appear with the path showing where the asset is being moved to.

 

The asset is now moved to the “live” area of BrandNext and can be searched by general users.
It is always good to double check that your asset has moved to the correct folder in the live area.
It’s a best practice to go to the unarchived asset and remove the archive description since the asset is no longer archived.

Removing the Archive Description

You can do this in classic view.

 1. Search for the asset that you unarchived.

You can also navigate through the folder structure.

2. Double click on the asset.
3. Scroll down to the Archive Description field.
4. Click in the field box and delete the description.
5. Click Save in the bottom right corner of the metadata screen.
6. Close out by clicking on the x of the tab at the top of the metadata form.
